Soprano Marina Rebeka will give a recital at the Teatro alla Scala on Oct. 20, 2020, with Giulio Zappa accompanying at the piano.

The program for the concert includes Verdi’s “In solitaria stanza,” “Ave Maria,” and the famed “Brindisi” in its original version; Francesco Paolo Tosti’s “Vorrei” and “Visione”; Respighi’s “Notte,” “Pioggia,” and “Nebbie”; Cesar’ Kjui’s “La statua in Carskoe selo,” “Io ricordo una sera,” and “Io ho toccato un fiore”; Tchaikovsky’s “Dimmi all’ombra delle fronde,” “Dimenticare così presto,” and “Il giorno regni”; and Rachmaninoff’s “La notte nel mio giardino,” Op. 38,  No.1; “Margherite,”Op. 38 No.3; “Il sogno” Op. 38 No.5; “Dissonanza,” Op. 34 No.13; “Acque di primavera,” Op. 14 No.11.

Rebeka recently performed the role of Violetta Valéry in Verdi’s “La Traviata” at the Teatro Real. The soprano is slated to appear in the role of Desdemona in concert performances of Verdi’s “Otello” at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale in November and December 2020, before taking on the role of Leonora in “Il Trovatore” at Opéra National de Paris in February 2021.
