Marina Rebeka & J’Nai Bridges Headline Dutch National Opera’s ‘Donizetti Queens in Concert’

The Dutch National Opera is set to present Donizetti Queens in Concert.

The concert, which will be streamed on May 16 and presented without an audience will feature highlights from Donizetti’s three Tudor Queens operas, “Anna Bolena,” “Maria Stuarda,” and “Roberto Devereux.” The stream will remain available for 48 hours.

Jetske Mijnssen directs the production which will be conducted by Italian bel canto specialist Enrique Mazzola. Marina Rebeka takes on the roles of Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda, and Elisabetta while J’Nai Bridges portrays the rivals. Ismael Jordi sings the male lovers and Roberto Tagliavini sings Henry VIII. Maya Gour, Frederik Bergman, and Maksym Nazarenko round out the cast.

The concert will open with “Roberto Devereux’s” overture and will conclude with “Anna Bolena’s” finale.
