Marina Rebeka, Chenn Reiss, Christophe Dumeaux, Veronique Gens Headline Les Talens Lyriques 2021-22 Season

Christophe Rousset is set to lead Les Talens Lyriques in a unique 30th anniversary season.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be on opera or vocal performances.

Mezzo-soprano Grace Durham will headline a program of music by Couperin, Lambert, Purcell, Leclair, and Stuck at the Festival Antiqua Bozano and in Berlin.

Performance Dates: Sept. 2, 2021 (Bolzano) & Nov. 9, 2021 (Berlin)

Wener’s “Job” oratorio will star Martin Mitterrutzner, Grace Durham, Fabien Hoy, Tamás Tarjányi, Christian Immler, and Agnes Kovács. The program will also feature Haydn’s “Salve Regina in E Major.” The Purcell Choir will also perform.

Performance Dates: Sept. 17, 2021 (Paris) & Oct. 5, 2021 (Budapest)

Chen Reiss, Christophe Dumeaux, Veronique Gens, Olga Bezsmertna, Markus Werba, and Chiara Amarù star in David McVicar’s production of Cavalli’s “La Calisto,” set to be performed at La Scala.

Performance Dates: Oct. 30 – Nov. 13, 2021

Ambroisine Bré, Cyrille Dubois, and Florian Sempey headline a concert dedicated to music by Rameau at the Théâtre du Châtelet.

Performance Dates: Jan. 22, 2022

Lully’s “Psyché” will star Ambroisinie Bré, Déborah Cachet, Eugénie Lefebvre, and Bénédicte Tauran, among others. The Opera will be performed in Vienna and at Versailles.

Performance Dates: Jan. 27, 2022 (Vienna) & Jan. 30, 2022 (Versaille)

Marie Lys and Teresa Iervolino headline a concert featuring music by Leo, Händel, and Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater.”

Performance Dates: March 18, 2022 (Oslo) & March 26, 2022 (Heidelberger Frühling)

Soprano Florie Valiquette stars in a concert featuring music by Bach, Couperin, Campra, and Pergolesi.

Performance Dates: May 26, 2022 (Schaffhausen), May 28, 2022 (Froville) & May 30 2022 (Puteaux)

Joanne Lunn, Hagar Sharvit, and William Knight headline a concert in Leipzig featuring music by Bach, Händel, and C.P.E. Bach.

Performance Dates: June 11, 2022

Marina Rebeka, Stanislas de Barbeyrac, Tassis Christoyannis, Nicolas Courjal, and Aude Extrémo headline “La Vestale” in Paris.

Performance Dates: June 22, 2022

The season concludes with Pallavicino’s “Le Amazzoni nell’isole fortunate” starring Axelle Fanyo, Anara Khassenova, Olivier Cesarini, and Marco Angiolini. The performances will take place in Potsdam.
