The Universal Song Project is set to present Poulenc’sLa Voix Humaine” on April 15, 2023 at the Mirsaol Grand Lobby on Davis Island in Tampa, Florida.

The showcase will star soprano Marina Nuñez and pianist Josh Cessna in a production directed by Karina Camille Parker.

“Working on this piece is an honor, as Poulenc creates an intimately complex world filled with infinite choices to be made,” said Parker in an official press statement.

“The relationship between the piano and the voice is what makes this opera so exciting, as it allows the audience to interpret whether the piano is magnifying the character’s emotions or acting as the voice at the other end of the telephone line,” added Cessna.

Nuñez has performed with Masterworks Chorus and Taylor Festival Choir, and has been featured on the Palm Beach Signature Chamber Series, and Opera Doral’s Concert Series. She is also an alumna of the Castleton Festival Young Artist Program as well as the International Vocal Arts Institute, Institute Canadien d’art Vocal, and was an Apprentice Artist with the Bel Canto Institute and Miami Summer Music Festival.
