Mariangela Sicilia, Luciano Ganci & Mojca Erdmann Lead Teatro Filarmonico’s 2024 Season

Verona’s Teatro Filarmonico has announced its 2024 season.

Opera

Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” will be conducted by Gianna Fratta and directed by Ivan Stefanutti. The opera will star Alexander Vinogradov, Matteo Mezzaro, Anna Siminska, Gilda Fiume, Giulia Bolcato, Michele Patti, and Matteo Macchioni.

Performance Dates: Jan. 21-Jan. 28, 2024

Puccini’s “La Rondine” will be conducted by Alvise Casellati and directed by Stefano Vizioli. Mariangela Sicilia leads the cast with Eleonora Bellocci, Galeano Salas, Matteo Roma, and Gëzim Myshketa.

Performance Dates: Feb. 18-25, 2024

Wolf-Ferrari’s “Il Campiello” will be conducted by Francesco Ommassini. Federico Bertolani will direct a cast that includes Bianca Tognocchi, Didier Pieri, Cortolezzis, Saverio Fiore, Lara Lagni, Paola Gardina, Matteo Roma, Gabriele Sagona, Biagio Pizzuti, and Guido Loconsolo.

Performance Dates: March 17-24, 2024

Verdi’s “Stiffelio” is set to be conducted by Leonardo Sini and will be directed by Guy Montavon. Luciano Ganci and Angelo Villari star in the title role with Alessandra di Giorgio and Daniela Schillaci as Lina and Vladimir Stoyanov as Stankar.

Performance Dates: Oct. 27-Nov. 3, 2024

Rossini’s “La Cenerentola” is set to be conducted by Francesco Lanzillotta and directed by Manu Lalli. The cast will include Pietro Adaini, Alessandro Luongo, Carlo Lepore, Maria Kataeva, and Gabriele Sagona.

Performance Dates: Nov. 17-24, 2024

Concerts 

Rossini’s “Stabat Mater” will be conducted by Roberto Abbado.

Performance Dates: March 29 & 30, 2024

Ryan McAdams conducts a concert featuring Lloyd Webber’s “Requiem McAdams” and Rachmaninov’s Symphonic poem.

Performance Dates: April 19 & 20, 2024 

Wolfram Christ conducts Soprano Mojca Erdmann in Mahler. The program also includes Schubert.

Performance Dates: Nov. 29 & 30, 2024
