Maria Teresa Leva Leads Teatro Regio di Parma’s ‘Adriana Lecouvreur’
By Francisco SalazarThe Teatro Regio di Parma is set to perform Cilea’s “Adriana Lecouvreur” for the first time in 42 years.
The verismo opera, which is set to be presented between March 24 and April 2, will be presented in a co-production with the Teatro Comunale di Modena and Teatro Municipale di Piacenza.
Italo Nunziata directs the opera with set design by Emanuele Sinisim and costumes by Artemio Cabassi.
The cast will include Maria Teresa Leva (Adriana Lecouvreur), Riccardo Massi (Maurizio), Adriano Gramigni (Principe di Bouillon), Saverio Pugliese (L’abate di Chazeuil, per la prima volta al Teatro Regio), Claudio Sgura (Michonnet), Stefano Consolini (Poisson), Steponas Zonys (Quinault), and Sonia Ganassi (Principessa di Bouillon).
The March 24 performance will be live streamed on operastreaming.com.
