María Rey-Joly Joins GoDirect for General Management

Rey-Joly studied violin and piano at the Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid. She participated in masterclasses by Gundula Janowitz, Brigitte Fassbaender, Raina Kabaivanska, and Plácido Domingo.
She has since performed such roles as Pamina (“Die Zauberflöte”), Konstanze (“Die Entführung aus dem Serail”), Fiordiligi (“Così fan tutte”), Norina (“Don Pasquale”), Musetta (“La Bohème”), Micaëla (“Carmen”), Nedda (“Pagliacci”), and Elisabetta de Valois (“Don Carlo.) Her repertoire also includes various zarzuelas, as well as symphonic and choral works.
She has performed in the U.S., Mexico, Costa Rica, France, Turkey, and Liege, among others. In her native Spain, she has performed at the Teatro Real, Maestranza de Sevilla, Villamarta de Jerez, Campoamor de Oviedo, Arriaga de Bilbao, and Teatro de la Zarzuela.
