Maria Mudryak, Gregory Kunde, Piero Pretti Headline OperaStreaming 2020-21 Season

OperaStreaming has announced its second season, which will feature nine operas presented online.

It all begins with a concert performance of Verdi’s “Ernani” from the Teatro Regio in Parma. The opera stars Piero Pretti, Vladimir Stoyanov, Roberto Taglaivini, and Eleonora Buratto. Michele Mariotti conducts.

Streaming Date: Sept. 25, 2020 

Next up is a new production of “La Traviata” live in from the Teatro Comunale “Luciano Pavarotti” in Modena. Maria Mudryak, Matteo Lippi, and Ernesto Petti headline the cast. Alessandro D’Agostini.

Streaming Date: Oct. 16, 2020

Then comes Verdi’s “Otello” with Gregory Kunde, Mariangela Sicilia, and Franco Vassallo. Asher Fisch conducts the performance from the Teatro Comunale in Bologna.

Streaming Date: Nov. 18, 2020

Next up is “Werther” from the Teatro Comunale in Modena.

Streaming Date: Nov. 27, 2020

The Teatro Comunale in Ferrara will present Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly.”

Streaming Date: Dec. 29, 2020

The production will be followed by Monteverdi’s “Orfeo” from the Teatro “Dante Alighieri” in Ravenna.

Streaming Date: Feb. 28, 2021

A performance of Rossini’s classic “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” will be showcased from the Teatro Municipale in Reggio Emilia.

Streaming Date: March 28, 2021 

Verdi’s “Aroldo” will be streamed from the Teatro “Amintore Galli” in Rimini.

Streaming Date: April 16, 2021

The season comes to a close with Donizetti’s “La Favourite” at the Teatro Municipale in Piacenza.
