María José Montiel, Arturo Chacón-Cruz & Sabina Puértolas Lead Ópera de Tenerife’s 2023-24 Season

Spain’s Ópera de Tenerife has announced its 2023-24 season featuring numerous Spanish artists.

Víctor Pablo Pérez conducts Antoni Parera Fons’ “María Moliner” with María José Montiel and Juan Jesús Rodríguez. Paco Azorín conducts.

Performance Dates: Oct. 17-21, 2023

Sabina Puértolas and Arturo Chacón-Cruz lead Massenet s “Manon” with Christopher Franklin conducting. Emilio Sagi directs.  

Performance Dates: Nov. 21-25, 2023

Jorge de León and Yulia Matochkina lead Saint-Saëns’s “Samson et Dalila.” Jorge de Leon conducts.

Performance Dates: Dec. 9, 2023

Francis Hernández conducts Bernstein’s “Trouble in Tahiti” in a production by Siscu Ruz.

Performance Dates: Jan. 20-28, 2024

Ángeles Blancas, Vazgen Gazaryan, and Rodrigo Porras star in Dvořák’s “Rusalka.” Paul Daniel conducts the production by André Heller-Lopes.

Performance Dates: March 5-9, 2024

Ravel’s “L’enfant et les sortilèges” leads Jordi Francés. James Bonas directs the production.

Performance Dates: April 20 & 21, 2024

Celso Albelo performs “Verdi Singular” with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife.

Performance Date: June 22, 2024
