María Hanneman to Join Javier Camarena on Mexican Tour

Pianist María Hanneman will joins Javier Camarena on his upcoming Mexican tour “Tiempo de Cantar.”

The young pianist will accompany Camarena in concerts in Mérida on Sept. 15, Cuernavaca on Sept. 24, and Mexico City on Sept. 30.

The Sept. 30 concert at the Palacio de Bellas Artes will mark the pianist’s debut at the prestigious hall in Mexico City.

Hanneman has participated in different music festivals throughout Mexico, Peru, and Costa Rica. On two occasions she won first prize in the Laredo International Piano Competition in Laredo, Texas and also won first prize in her category in the National Piano Contest Parnassos in Monterrey, Mexico.

Camarena’s tour will open at the Teatro Bicentenario in León, Guanajuato on Sept. 4 and will continue on Sept. 11 at the Teatro Nazas in Torreón, Coahuila. he also be joined for those dates by Ángel Rodríguez.

All venues will be under strict measures due to the COVID-19 and to assure the safety of the public and the performers.
