Maria Guleghina has been named the Premio Lirico Internazionale Marcela Pobbe.

The soprano took to social media and said, “In just a week, I will be meeting with my beloved Italian audience at the award ceremony named after the Italian singer Marcela Pobbe. It is an honor to receive this award this year.”

The soprano will receive the award on May 24 in a gala concert with the Orchestra Sinfonica del Veneto and conductor Stefano Romani. The evening will also showcase Anna Grotto, Sofia Tumanyan, Enrico di Geronimo, and Domenico Apollonio.

The concert will be held at the Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza.
