Maria Callas in Concert Headed To Lyric Opera of Chicago This Fall

The Callas in Concert hologram tour is set to appear in Chicago this fall.

The performance of the showcase features the famed diva in hologram form performing a number of her signature arias. The performance in Chicago is set for Sept. 7, 2019 with tickets going on sale on June 6, 2019.

“This is something special, and given today’s culture, audiences are looking for that unique hook to get them out of their homes and into communal experiences.” said Marty Tudor, executive producer and CEO of BASE Hologram Productions in a press release. “This production does that in an innovative, creative, and immersive way that changes the live show landscape.”

Callas made her American debut in Chicago in 1954; it was the company’s first season.
