Maria Agresta, Michael Fabiano, Ludovic Tézier, Luca Pisaroni Headline ‘Gala Lyrique’ at Opéra de Paris

The Opéra de Paris has announced that it will present a special “Gala Lyrique” on June 16, 2021 at the Palais Garnier.

The showcase will feature Maria Agresta, Michael Fabiano, Ludovic Tézier, Luca Pisaroni, and the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris, all under the musical direction of Mark Wigglesworth in his company debut.

The concert will open with the overture from “Guillaume Tell” followed by Pisaroni’s interpretation of “Madamina” from “Don Giovanni.” Agresta will take on “Sola, perduta abbandonata” from Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut.” Fabiano will perform “De Corsari il fulimne” from “Il Corsaro” with Tézier taking on “Urna Fatale” from “La Forza del Destino.”

The concert will also feature excerpts from “Tannhäuser,” “La Damnation de Faust,” “Don Pasquale” and the finale of Act one from “La Bohème.”

The gala kicks off at 7:30 p.m. local time.
