Marcy Levy, Eric McConnell, Athena Merte Headline Las Vegas Sinfonietta’s ‘The Dangerous Liaisons’

The opera, created by Conrad Susa and based on the novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, will take the stage at Charleston Heights Arts Center at 7 p.m. under the baton of Tara Krysa. Daz Weller directs the production.
The cast includes Marcy Levy as Marquisede Merteuil, Eric McConnell as the Victome de Valmont, Athena Merte as the President de Tourvel, Kayla Wilkens as Cecile de Volanges, David Mejia as Chevalier de Danceny, Lauren McAllister as Madame de Volanges, Joan Sobel as Madame de Rosemonde, and Isabella Ivy as Emilie.
The opera’s plot follows the widow Marquise de Merteuil, who has managed to keep her reputation despite her many amorous affairs. But tragedy strikes, altering her world.
