Marble City Opera to Present ‘Tenors, Tuxedos, and Stalacites’
By Francisco SalazarMarble City Opera is set to open its 12th season with a concert titled “Tenors, Tuxedos, and Stalacites.”
The concert will be held on August 17, 2024 inside Historic Cherokee Caverns, where the “temperature is always 58° and the acoustics are excellent.”
Cody Boling, John Overholt, and Chris Plaas will sing a program of opera and musical theater favorites and will be accomapnied by music director Brandon Coffer.
Boling recently performed as “Murray” and Overholt as “Broom” in Marble City Opera’s world premiere of “The Doctor and the Devils.” Meanwhile, Plaas sang the role of “Tinca” in Marble City Opera’s “Il Tabarro.”
This will be the third time that Marble City Opera has presented a concert inside Cherokee Caverns.
This season the company is set to present “Buon Appetit,” and “Driving While Black.”
