Marble City Opera to Present Concert in Oak Ridge

By Francisco Salazar

Marble City Opera is set to present a concert of opera and musical theatre favorites on Feb. 23, 2025.

The concert will be held at the Historic Grove Theater in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and will feature soprano Kathryn Frady, tenor Cody Boling, soprano Jamey Owen, baritone Daniel Spiotta, and pianist Brandon Coffer.

Frady, who is also Marble City Opera’s Executive Artistic Director, said, “After the standing-room-only success of our production of il Tabarro at Melton Lake Park in 2024, we are very happy to be back in Oak Ridge for a concert at the Historic Grove Theater. We will return to Oak Ridge in June for Pagliacci.”

Marble City Opera was founded by soprano Kathryn Frady and baritone Kevin Doherty in 2013, and has continued under the Executive Artistic Leadership of Frady since 2014. Marble City Opera is Knoxville’s chamber opera company, bringing American Chamber Opera and innovative performances of traditional operas to new audiences.
