Marble City Opera Changes Venue & Date for First ‘Il Tabarro’ Performance
By David SalazarMarble City Opera has announced a date and venue change for its performance of “Il Tabarro.”
The first performance is now slated for June 21, 2024 at Sequoyah Birthplace Museum in Vonore, TN. The showcase kicks off at 7 p.m. The performancce was originally shceduled for June 22, 2024.
“We were informed by our original venue in Vonore that the timing of their construction project had changed and that they wouldn’t be able to safely accommodate our audience,” Executive Artistic Director Kathryn Frady said in an official press release. “We explored several options and are thankful that we will be able to perform along the water on the beautiful property of the Sequoyah Birthplace Museum.”
The second performance remain in its originally scheduled slot at 7 p.m. on June 23 at Melton Lake Park in Oak Ridge. The opera stars Frady, Eddie Brennan, Chris Plass, Maurice Hendricks, Ema Mitrovic, and Breyon Ewing, among others.
