
Marble City Opera Announces 2026 Season

The season opens with “Josephine” by Tom Cipullo inside the Historic Grove Theater about the life of Josephine Baker. Soprano Manna K. Jones stars as Josephine.
Performance Date: May 30, 2026
The company will then perform “Opera in the Park,” a free concert at Lakeshore Park in Knoxville. The event features food trucks and a beautiful concert as a gift to the community.
Performance Date: June 6, 2026
The season concludes with “The Tragedy of Carmen.” The 90-minute adaptation of Bizet’s Carmen will feature Kathryn Frady, Edward Brennan, Jacquie Reynolds, and Geoffrey Peterson.
Performance Date: June 18 and 20, 2026
