OperaVision has announced the streams for the month May.

The first stream of the month will be from the Nationaltheater Mannheim. “Hippolyte et Aricie” will feature a production by Lorenzo Fioroni and is conducted by Bernhard Forck.

The Royal Swedish Opera’s “Tosca“ from a performance in February will be streamed. Malin Byström stars as Tosca and Daniel Johansson as Cavaradossi.

For its 50th production, Birmingham Opera Company showcases Shostakovich’s “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk.” Recorded in March 2019, OperaVision streams the Sir Graham Vick production conducted by Alpesh Chauhan.

Donizetti’s “L’Elsir d’Amore“ will be streamed from Opera Zuid in a production by Marcos Darbyshire. The opera will be streamed live on OperaVision at its premiere in Maastricht.

The final stream of the month comes from the Bergen National Opera. “La clemenza di Tito“  recorded on March 15 features a young all-Norwegian cast and is directed by Rodula Gaitanou.
