Malin Byström Joins MWA Management

Swedish soprano Malin Byström has signed with MWA Management for general management.

The soprano is a world-renowned artist whose portrayal of the title role of “Salome” earned her Female Singer of the Year at the 2018 International Opera Awards. She most recently added Isolde in “Tristan und Isolde” to her repertoire and appears regularly at the Wiener Staatsoper, Royal Ballet & Opera and Bayerische Staatsoper. She recently toured with Jonas Kaufmann and the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra.

This season, Byström sings the title role in “Tosca” and the Marschallin in “Der Rosenkavalier” at the Wiener Staatsoper. She makes her role debut as Amelia in a new production of “Un ballo in maschera” at Royal Ballet & Opera in London. She also sings Elisabeth in “Tannhäuser” at the Teatro Real in Madrid and the Woman in Schoenberg’s “Erwartung” at the Polish National Opera.

MWA Management was founded in 2020 by Maria Mot. Its roster includes Louise Alder, Calixto Bieito, David Butt Philip, Lise Davidsen, Freddie De Tommaso, Gerald Finley, Ekaterina Gubanova, Christopher Maltman, Huw Montague Rendall, Erin Morley and Aušrinė Stundytė.
