David Rosenmeyer’s new opera, “Up Your Ass” is set to run at Target Margin – Degenerate Lab.

The opera is based on Valerie Solanas’ long-suppressed 1960s play, an incendiary, unapologetically satirical work from one of radical feminism’s most provocative voices. With biting humor and explosive dialogue, Solanas tears into gender roles, capitalism, and sexual politics.

Performers include Karen Vuong, Sophie Zmorrod, Mary L. Neufeld, Avi Glickstein, and Martin Fisher. Rosenmeyer serves as music director. Malena Dayen directs.

The 75-minute opera will take place Sept. 20, 21, 27, and 28, and again on Oct. 3 and 5.
