Maire Therese Carmack has joined the roster of Askonas Holt for worldwide general management.

She will be managed at Askonas Holt by Nicholas Moloney.

This season, the American mezzo-soprano is set to debut with the Lyric Opera of Chicago in “Rigoletto,” the Houston Grand Opera debut in Missy Mazzoli’s “Breaking the Waves” and returns to the Metropolitan Opera in “The Magic Flute.”

Last season when she sang “The Magic Flute” at the Met, OperaWire said, “She captured the whimsical qualities of the opera, singing with joy and delight in every note.”

Carmack is a prize-winner at the 2022 Operalia Competition and has been a member of the young artist programs at Palm Beach Opera, Glimmerglass Festival, and the Santa Fe and Pittsburgh operas. She has performed with teh Deutsche Oper Berlin where she sang in Rued Langgaard’s “Antikrist” and at the San Francisco Opera.
