Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Releases Statement Regarding Fake Zubin Mehta Death

By Francisco Salazar

The Maggio Musicale Fiorentino has released a statement regarding the fake news that appeared this morning regarding the death of Zubin Mehta.

The company said, “A very big fake news! In the last few minutes a fake news has been spreading on the web, shared by uninformed and which we immediately mark as vulgar and inappropriate: the death of maestro Zubin Mehta. The maestro is in Los Angeles, has answered the phone, and so far there is no recorded news of a person who has passed away saying ‘Hello!’ and having a big laugh. Long, long life to our beloved maestro Mehta.”

The statement comes following the fake news that Mehta had died which was announced by a fake LA Philharmonic account. The LA Philharmonic also released a statement that noted that it had no affiliation with the account.
