Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Postpones ‘Linda di Chamonix’

The Maggio Musicale Fiorentino has postponed its performances of “Linda di Chamonix.”

The company announced that in compliance with the limitations indicated due to COVID-19, performances scheduled for Dec. 23, 27, 29, 2020, and for Jan. 3, and 5, 2021, have been postponed. The final Jan. 10 performance will be streamed for audiences worldwide.

The company also announced that it will reschedule performances as soon as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. This is the latest production at the Maggio Musicale that has been forced to cancel in-person performances. The company recently performed a new “Otello” with Fabio Sartori and Marina Rebeka via live stream.

“Linda di Chamonix” was scheduled to star Jessica Pratt, Francesco Demuro, Michele Pertusi, Teresa Iervolino, Vittorio Prato, and Fabio Capitanucci. Michele Gamba was set to conduct the production by Cesare Lievi.
