Magdalena Kuźma is the winner of the 2024 Jensen Foundation Vocal Competition.

The soprano, who is a graduate of Yale University and is set to perform at the Aspen Music Festival, performed “Ha! Dzieciątko nam umiera” from Moniuszko’s “Halka” and “Deh vieni, non tardar” from “Le nozze di Figaro” on her way to a $15,000 first-place grant.

“It is such an honor to win the First Place Grant Award in the Jensen Competition,” said Kuźma in an official press release issued by the company. “As I make the transition out of young artist programs, I look forward to using this grant money to fund further training and development in the form of coaching, lessons, and audition travel.”

Brittany Olivia Logan was the second place winner and took home $10,000 while Midori Marsh was the recipient of the third prize and $7,500. The Munday Encouragement Grant winners, Ben Brady and Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha took home $3,000 each.
