Marco Vinco has been named Artistic Director of the Macerata Opera Festival.

The board of directors of the Associazione Arena Sferisterio named Vinco on Dec. 9, 2024.

Vinco is an opera singer who has performed at the Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Arena di Verona, Paris Opera, Royal Opera House, Wiener Staatsoper, and the San Francisco Opera. He has collaborated with Daniele Gatti, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Alberto Zedda, Mario Martone, Pierluigi Pizzi, Luca Ronconi, and Franco Zeffirelli.

In 2016, he was named Presidente of the Accademia Salieri di Legnago and in 2018 he was named director of the Polo Nazionale Artistico – Verona Accademia per l’Opera Italiana.

The 2025 Macerata Opera Festival  will be held between July 18 and August 10 and will showcase “La Vedova allegra,” “Rigoletto” and “Macbeth.”
