Anastasia Bartoli, Ruzil Gatin, Raffaella Lupinacci & Piero Pretti Lead Macerata Opera Festival’s 2026 Season

The Macerata Opera Festival has announced its 2026 season.

The festival will be held between July 17 and August 9, 2026.

The season will open with Verdi’s “Nabucco” in a production by Paul-Émile Fourny and conducted by Fabrizio Maria Carminati. Ariun Ganbaatar, Alberto Comes, Anastasia Bartoli, Alessandro Scotto Di Luzio, and Laura Verrecchia star.

Performance Dates: July 17-August 9, 2026


Rossini’s “Il barbiere di Siviglia” will be directed by Daniele Menghini and conducted by Gianluca Martinenghi. Grisha Martirosyan, Ruzil Gatin, Raffaella Lupinacci, Marco Filippo Romano, Riccardo Fassi, Giulia Mazzola, and Valerio Morelli will star.

Performance Dates: July 18-August 8, 2026


Francisco Negrin directs Verdi’s “Il trovatore,” conducted by Dmitri Jurowski. The opera will star Piero Pretti, Franco Vassallo, Marta Torbidoni, and Sofia Petrovich.

Performance Dates: July 19-31, 2026


Ramón Tebar conducts Orff’s “Carmina Burana” with Sara Blanch, Ruzil Gatin, and Grisha Martirosyan.

Performance Date: August 7, 2026
