Lyric Opera of Chicago will present its annual outdoor concert, “Sunday in the Park with Lyric,” on August 23 at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.

The concert features the new Ensemble of the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center, Lyric’s artist training program, performing alongside the Lyric Opera Orchestra. Music Director Enrique Mazzola and new Ryan Opera Center conductor Luke Poeppel will conduct. The Ryan Opera Center ensemble includes sopranos Kylie Kreucher and Josie Larsen, mezzo sopranos Alexis Peart and Camille Robles, tenors Sid Chand and Daniel Luis Espinal, baritones Sihao Hu and Adam Partridge, and bass baritones Matthew Dexter, Lin Fan, and Benjamin R. Sokol. The ensemble will perform operatic selections alongside repertoire from Lyric’s 2026-27 season.

Ryan Opera Center pianist Myungseo Kim will perform with the orchestra, and Ryan Opera Center stage director Alexi Ortega Chavez will helm the showcase alongside  stage manager AJ Helms.

The performance begins at 7 p.m. and will run approximately 90 minutes without intermission.
