Lyric Opera of Chicago & AGMA Reach Tentative Agreement

The Lyric Opera of Chicago has reached a tentative agreement with the AGMA/Lyric Opera of Chicago Negotiating Committee.

AGMA announced the news and noted that voting on whether or not the agreement will be ratified will take place on August 14, 2021.

According to the press release, the negotiating committee fully endorsed the ratification of the agreement. AGMA Artists at Lyric Opera eligible to vote will receive an email to vote and will receive instructions on the voting process and the ballot.

The news comes as the Lyric Opera of Chicago is gearing up to open its new season next month with a new production of Verdi’s “Macbeth.” The production will star Sondra Radvanovsky and Roman Burdenko.
