Ludovic Tézier to Take Over Final Performance of ‘Tosca’ in Graz

The baritone announced via social media that he will take over the performance August 25 performance for Sir Bryn Terfel, who is ill. He said, “Wonderful to have been with these great people and friends in Graz!! Kasematten Graz and I shall meet them again tomorrow 25th of August!!”
Tézier opened the production on August 22 filling in for Terfel, a day after performing the role of Scarpia at the Salzburg Festival. The production was streamed live on ORF. The baritone will once again perform the role two days in a row as he is singing Scarpia on August 24 in Salzburg.
Tézier joins Kristine Opolais and Jonas Kaufmann with Marcus Merkel conducting.
