UPDATE: Ludovic Tezier will not sing Don Carlo at La Scala. The baritone took to Twitter and said, “NB: never mentioned Don Carlo at La Scala next year; a great colleague will be there!”extravagance”is uselessness, excess, gratuitous provocation; not the modern-I love it!-VS the classical, but a”catchy” mediocrity VS the true talent, buzz VS clarity..nam iuvenes et incipient.”

Ludovic Tezier is set to return to the Teatro alla Scala in 2023.

The baritone recently said in an interview with the Corriere della Sera that he would return to perform a production of Verdi’s “Don Carlo” on Dec. 7, 2023.

The baritone recently made his Arena di Verona debut in a production of “La Traviata” and said, it was emotional.
