Lucrecia Arana Opera Week of Logroño Announces 2023 Slate

The program opens with a performance of “Winterreise” starring tenor José Manuel Montero and pianist Pedro Halffter.

Next up is a concert entitled “El Piano de Barbieri.” It stars tenor Beñat Egiarte, soprano Raquel Fernández, actor Carles Garcia, and pianist Josep Buforn.
Performance Date: June 17, 2023
Soprano Marta Arbonés and guitarist Rosario Caselles will lead a concert of opera, zarzuela, and song.
Performance Date: June 18, 2023
There will be the premiere of “A Look Back,” a short film that features music by Beethoven, including his song cycle “An die ferne Geliebte.”
Performance Date: June 18, 2023
Soprano Tatiana Melnichenko and pianist Karina Azizova will perform music by Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky.
Performance Date: June 19, 2023
There will be a talk on composer Francisco Asenjo Barbieri in celebration of his 200th birth anniversary.
Performance Date: June 20, 2023
There will also be a talk about Zarzuela and Operetta.
Performance Date: June 21, 2023
Soprano Nerea Elizaga and tenor Fabian Kelly will perform zarzuela and operetta, accompanied by pianist Germán Barrio.

Closing out the schedule will be “Sing an Angel – Tribute to Victoria de los Ángeles” featuring soprano Carmen Romeu and pianist Albert Nieto.
