Luciano Pavarotti to Get Star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

Late opera star Luciano Pavarotti is going to Hollywood.

The famed tenor will get a new star on Hollywood’s iconic Walk of Fame on August 24, 2022 at 7065 Hollywood Boulevard. Present at the ceremony will be the late tenor’s daughter Cristina Pavarotti, who will give a speech. Also in attendance and speaking about the tenor’s career will be conductor James Conlon of the Los Angeles Opera.

The event will be celebrated by a number of events on August 24 and 25 organized by such entities as Albedo Production, Genoma Films and Silvia Bizio, Anna Manunza, and Cecilia Miniucchi, thanks to support by the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Emilia-Romagna Region, the cities of Modena and Pesaro, the Rossini Opera Festival, and by Isatex, Marposs, Deisa Ebano, Calzanetto, Alternative Group.

There will also be the presentation of two audiovisual showcases featuring the tenor including a 1970 performance of Verdi’s Requiem with the Rai Symphony Orchestra of Rome. The second screening will a recital that Pavarotti gave at the Teatro alla Scala in 1983 with pianist Leone Magiera. The LA screenings will take place at the Aero Theater on August 24 and at the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro on August 25.
