Lucas Meachem, Kelly Kaduce Headline Minnesota Opera’s 2020 Digital Opera Series

Minnesota Opera has announced an all-new 2020 Digital Opera Series in partnership with the Classical Minnesota Public Radio.

Starting on May 14, the company will present radio broadcasts and other audio streams of operas it has presented with a new title released weekly. The series is set to run through June 11.

It all kicks off with “Das Rheingold” on May 14, followed by Mark Campbell and Paul Moravec’s “The Shining” on May 21. On May 28, audiences can listen in on Massenet’s “Thaïs” with Kelly Kaduce and Lucas Meachem in lead roles.

“The Fix” set for release on June 4.” The program comes to a close on June 11 with Mozart and Da Ponte’s “Le Nozze di Figaro.”

Audio for the five operas will be available for 45 days on the company’s official website. Additonally, audiences can tune in on-air to listen to the broadcasts at Classical MPR.
