Lucas Macias, Catriona Morison & Berna Perles Lead Orquesta Ciudad de Granada’s 2021-22 Season

Here is a look at the vocal performances of the season.
Lucas Macias conducts Berlioz’s “Les nuits d’été” with Catriona Morison. The program also includes music by Takemitsu.
Performance Dates: Oct. 1 & 2, 2021
Joseph Swensen conducts a program of Bizet, Debussy, and Faure. Kathleen Balfe and the Coro de la OCG are featured.
Performance Dates: Oct. 29 & 30, 2021
Hossein Pishkar conducts Mahler’s “Lieder eines fahrenden gesellen” and Sibelius’ Symphony No. 4. The concert will feature Karina Demurova.
Performance Dates: Nov. 19 & 20, 2021
Hector Marquez conducts the Coros Infantiles de Granada y Provincia.
Performance Dates: Dec. 11, 2021
Händel’s “Messiah” will star Mariasole Mainini, Mar Campo, Rory Carver, and Javier Povedano. Lucas Macias conducts.
Performance Dates: Dec. 17 & 18, 2021
Victor Pablo Perez conducts Stravinsky’s Pulcinella and Franck’s “Las siete palabras de Cristo en la Cruz.” The concert will include Berna Perles, Jose Luis Sola, and Victor Cruz.
Performance Dates: Feb. 11 & 12, 2022
Nuria Rial and Lucas Macias team up for Mahler’s Sieben Frühe lieder. The performance also includes Mahler’s Symphony No. 4.
Performance Dates: March 18 & 19, 2022
Teresa Villena, Joaquin Asain, and Toni Marsol star in Orff’s “Carmina Burana” with Lucas Macias conducting.
Performance Dates: April 1 & 2, 2022
Christian Zacharias conducts Michael Haydn’s Requiem with soloists Lucia Millan, Rachelle Ragliotti, Juan Antonio Sanabria, and Gunter Haumer. The concert also includes music by Bruckner.
