Luca Salsi, Brian Jagde, Francesco Meli, Annalisa Stroppa, Rosa Feola, & Gregory Kunde Lead Teatro La Fenice’s 2025-26 Season

The Teatro La Fenice has announced its 2025-26 season.

Opera 

The season opens with Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” with Ivor Bolton conducting a new production by Paul Curran. The cast includes Daniel Behle, Cecilia Molinari, Nicolò Balducci, and Francesca Aspromonte.

Performance Dates: Nov. 20-30, 2025


Luca Micheletti directs Verdi’s “Simon Boccanegra” with Renato Palumbo conducting. Luca Salsi, Francesco Meli, Alex Esposito, and Francesca Dotto star.

Performance Dates: Jan. 23-Feb. 14, 2026


Rosa Feola, Stefan Pop, and Roberto Frontali star in Verdi’s “La Traviata” with Stefano Ranzani conducting.

Performance Dates: Feb. 8-17, 2026


Diego Fasolis conducts Vivaldi’s “Ottone in Villa” in a production by Giovanni Di Cicco. Margherita Maria Sala and Michela Antenucci star.

Performance Dates: March 20-29, 2026


Brian Jagde sings the title role in Wagner’s “Lohengrin” alongside Chiara Mogini and Äneas Humm. Markus Stenz conducts the new production by Damiano Michieletto.

Performance Dates: April 12-26, 2026


Bizet’s “Carmen” will star Annalisa Stroppa, Marina Comparato, Jean-François Borras, Stefan Pop, Serena Gamberoni, Julie Mossay, Davide Luciano, Alessandro Luongo, Matteo Ferrara, Armando Noguera, Paolo Antognetti, and Francesco Salvadori. Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducts the production by Calixto Bieito.

Performance Dates: May 24-June 3, 2026


Donizetti’s “Enrico di Borgogna” will star Teresa Iervolino, Giuseppina Bridelli, Dave Monaco, and Omar Montanari. Corrado Rovaris conducts the production by Silvia Paoli.

Performance Dates: June 12-20, 2026


Salvatore Sciarrino’s “Venere e Adone” will be conducted by Kent Nagano and directed by Georges Delnon. The cast includes Layla Claire, Randall Scotting, Evan Hughes, Cody Quattelbaum, Matthias Klink, Kady Evanyshyn, Nicholas Mogg, and Vera Tarlenko.

Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducts Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore.”

Performance Dates: August 26-Sept. 1, 2026


Gregory Kunde and Selene Zanetti lead Leoncavallo’s “Pagliacci” with Daniele Callegari conducting a new production by Andrea Bernard.

Performance Dates: Sept. 18-26, 2026


Menotti’s “The Telephone” and Bernstein’s “Trouble in Tahiti” will be performed in a double bill, with Allen Boxer starring. Francesco Lanzillotta conducts the new production by Gianmaria Aliverta.

Concerts 

Ivor Bolton leads the chorus and orchestra in an all-Brahms program.

Marco Gemmani conducts Cappella Marciana.

Michael Hofstetter conducts the chorus and orchestra in music by Vivaldi, Lotti, and Pergolesi.

Ton Koopman conducts the orchestra and chorus in Mozart.

La Fenice’s Piazza San Marco concert will feature the Orchestra and Coro del Teatro La Fenice.

Alfonso Caiani conducts Orff’s Carmina Burana.
