Opera Streaming has announced that it will present a live performance of Verdi’s “Don Carlo” on Feb. 6, 2021.

The showcase, which will take place at the Teatro Comunale di Modena, will star Michele Pertusi as Filippo II, Andrea Carè as Don Carlo, Luca Salsi as Rodrigo, Ramaz Chikviladze as The Grand Inquisitor, Anna Pirozzi as Elisabetta, and Judit Kutasi as Princess Eboli.

The four-act version of the opera will be conducted by Jordi Bernàcer.The performance is a coproduction by the  Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Modena, Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia, and Fondazione Teatri di Piacenza.

This is the latest in a long-running series of performances streamed from around opera companies in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Other upcoming streams include “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” “Aroldo,” “La Favourite,” and “Il Farnace,” among others.
