Glyndebourne’s YouTube channel will start streaming free operas every Sunday starting on May 24, 2020. For the first set of operas, the company is turning to Mozart and Da Ponte’s famed trilogy.

The series kicked off with Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” with a cast featuring Vito Priante, Isabel Leonard, Andrew Shore, Lydia Teuscher, Ann Murray, and Audun Iverson. Robin Ticciati conducts.

Starting on May 31, the company will stream “Don Giovanni” with Gerald Finley, Anna Samuil, Luca Pisaroni, Kate Royal William Burden, Brindley Sherratt, Anna Virovlansky, and Guido Loconsolo.

Finally, on June 7, audiences can check out “Così fan tutte” with Topi Lehtipuu, Luca Pisaroni, Nicolas Rivenq, Miah Persson, Anke Vondung, and Ainhoa Garmendia.

“While it is heart-breaking not being able to perform live for our audiences this summer, I have such hope for what we will all feel as a community when we emerge from this troubled time. The need for live music and opera will surely burn ever brighter,” said Robin Ticciati, Glyndebourne’s Music Director.
