Louis Langrée, Stefan Vinke & Camilla Tilling Highlight Cincinnati Symphony’s 2020-21 Season

The Cincinnati Symphony has announced its 2020-21 season. For the purpose of this article we will highlight vocal performances.

Louis Langrée conducts Grieg’s “Peer Gynt” with Camilla Tilling and the May Festival Chorus. Bill Barclay directs the semi-staged production. The concert will also include violinist in Pekka Kuusisto in Daniel Bjarnason’s Violin Concerto.

Performance Dates: Oct. 3 & 4, 2020

Heidi Melton, Stefan Vinke, and John Relyea star in the first act of Wagner’s “Die Walküre.” Karina Canellakis conducts the program which also include Lutoslawski’s Cello Concerto with Kian Soltani.

Performance Dates: Feb. 5 & 6, 2021

Louis Langrée conducts Mari Eriksmoen, Simon Bode, and Matthew Rose in Haydn’s “The Creation.” 

Performance Dates: Feb. 20 & 21, 2021

Louis Langrée leads a concert dedicated to the legend of Shéhérazade. The concert will include three pieces dedicated to the story. Fatma Said sings in Ravel’s famed “Shéhérazade” while Langrée conducts the Ouverture de féerie and Rimsky Korsakov’s “Scheherazade.”
