Louis Chanson has taken over the direction of Artists Management Zürich.

Chanson joined the boutique agency, which was founded by Rita Schütz in 1981, in 2018 and has worked alongside Schütz since. He is now set to lead the agency’s operational business, while Schütz will remain involved as a mentor and advisor.

Artists Management Zürich began with a roster of three singers, including Agnes Baltsa, José van Dam, and Francisco Araiza and now has nearly 30, including Nina Stemme, Josef Wagner, Marlis Petersen, Johannes Martin Kränzle, Sara Jakubiak, and Pavol Breslik.

“It’s truly a win-win for both of us. Louis Chanson takes over an agency with a respected reputation and a strong network. And for me, it means that my life’s work goes on, in the hands of someone enthusiastic, capable and full of energy,” Schütz said, per an official press release.

Chanson added, “It’s been a huge privilege to learn the craft from an industry legend such as Rita Schütz. I’m immensely grateful for her guidance and experience and I am ready to lead the agency into a new era, while continuing the tradition of excellence and personal commitment to our outstanding artists.”
