The Lorelei Ensemble will tour its new program “This Tyrant, Love” from March 18 -27, 2022.

The five venues include Longy School of Music at Bard College, Cambridge, MA, Eastman School of Music, Rochester, NY, Duke University in Durham, NC, The Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Knoxville, TN, and Saint Michal and All Angel Episcopal Church in Dallas, TX.

The ensemble’s return to live performances features works by David Lang, Caroline Shaw, Björk, Laura Mvula, and music by 17th-century composers such as Luzzachi, Monteverdi, Rossi, Piccinini, and Strozzi.

The New York Times described the ensemble’s sound as a “full-bodied and radiant sound.” The singers who make up this acclaimed sound are sopranos Corrine Byrne, Michele Kennedy, Arwen Myers, Sonja Tengblad, mezzo-sopranos Dianna Grabowski, Sophie Michaux, and altos Stephanie Kacoyanis, and Clara Osowski. Artistic Director Beth Willer leads the ensemble and is joined by lutenist Kevin Payne.
