London Philharmonic Orchestra Extends Principal Guest Conductor Karina Canellakis’ Contract

The London Philharmonic Orchestra has extended Principal Guest Conductor Karina Canellakis for another three years.

In a statement, the orchestra said, “Karina will continue to regularly perform with the Orchestra both in the UK and on tour. We’re looking forward to celebrating with her in person this week as she joins us for a performance at the Southbank Centre on Wednesday before heading on tour together in Greece, Germany, and Austria.”

Canellakis is an internationally conductor who is the Chief Conductor of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and this season is the featured Artist-in-Residence at Vienna’s famed Musikverein, conducting four different orchestras; the Wiener Symphoniker, ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, London Philharmonic and the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic.
