The London Mozart Players are launching “The Grounded Conductor” a video series about the issues facing a conductor today, as part of “At Home with LMP.”

The showcase will kick off on May 13 and features conductor Timothy Henty. In his May 13 film, Henty will feature interviews with Sir Antonio Pappano, Chris Hampson, Amy Lane, and Cal McCrystal as they explore what it means to work for a conductor in a theater and to work with stage managers, directors, and choreographers.

For the May 20 episode, Henty will feature the challenges of conducting an orchestra in jazz and pop music. Here he speaks with Clair Martin OBE, Kim Criswell, and Max Mutzke.

The May 28 episode will emphasize the importance of connecting with kids and families with animators Alasdair Malloy, and Kevin Hathaway at the core of the showcase.

Finally, on June 4, Henty will be speaking about what makes a conductor great. Interviews with Rodney Friend MBE, Sebastien Comberti, Dame Felictiy Lott, and Neil Thomas, will be featured.
