On November 29, Composers Concordance is set to present at DROM a concert program propelling an age-old compositional form into the 21st Century.

“The Art of the Art Song” features soprano Ljiljana Winkler, of the German group Formation Solenne. She will interpret songs from some of today’s most dynamic composers. Among the works that will be performed include Melanie Mitrano’s “Hocket Two Me,” Gene Pritsker’s “Scatalism,” Emiliano Revert’s “Bond,” Joseph Waters’ “Again,” and Dennis Bathory-Kitsz’s “Binsey Poplars. She will perform with the CompCord Ensemble.

The concert will be live streamed on Composers Concordance’s Facebook page.

Winkler has received numerous prizes and scholarships, including the music award of the “Märkische Kulturkonferenz.” She is a fellow of the Dame Felicity Lott Foundation and the Ardingly International Music School Foundation in the UK. She received the Richard Wagner Prize (Bayreuth) and the Claudia Mayer Scholarship (Saarbrücken).
