Live Stream Information for Vienna State Opera’s ‘Don Giovanni,’ Starring Markus Werba

On Sunday, Nov. 18, the Vienna State Opera will continue serving up live streams of its operas, this time with a performance of Mozart’s “Don Giovanni.”

Maestro Adam Fisher will lead the performance with a cast that will feature Markus Werba in the title role, Myrtò Papatanasiu, Benjamin Bruns, Olga Bezmertna, and Anatoli Sivko as Leporello.

This is the final of three performances for this cast with the famed opera set to make a comeback in mid-March with such artists as Peter Mattei, Olga Peretyatko, Rolando Villazón, Véronique Gens, and Adam Platchetka.

The stream kicks off at 6:30 p.m. local time and is slated to run until around 10 p.m. That is a start time of 12:30 p.m. EDT and 9:30 a.m. PST for the start time.

Per the official website, tickets start at 14 euros (approximately $16 USD) and can be purchased right off the Vienna State Opera’s streaming website. There are options for monthly subscriptions to future performances on the service depending on users’ preference for experience opera from the comfort of their homes.

Next up on the slate of live streams will be “La Bohème,” “Madama Butterfly,” “Die Weiden,” Hänsel und Gretel,” and “Die Fledermaus.”
