Liv Redpath, Andriana Chuchman, Daniela Mack Among Stars Of Opera Omaha’s 2019-20 Season

Opera Omaha’s 2019-20 season will feature four operas from the standard repertory.

The first of these is Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” in a production directed by Leslie Swackhamer and conducted by Joseph Rescigno. Karah Son will take on the title role with Alok Kumar as Pinkerton, Luis Ledesma as Sharpless, and Kristen Choi as Suzuki.

Performance Dates: Nov. 1 and 3, 2019

In February, the company will feature Mozart’s “The Abduction from the Seraglio” with Amanda Woodbury, Jack Swanson, Erik Anstine, Ashley Emerson, and Michael Kuhn. Alison Moritz directs while Gary Thor Wedow conducts.

Performance Dates: Feb. 7 and 9, 2020

Stradella’s “John The Baptist” will get five performances in a production by Christopher Alden under the musical direction of Stephen Stubbs. Liv Redpath, Heather Buck, Andrew Harris, and Randall Scotting will star in the oratorio.

Performance Dates: March 25-April 5, 2020

Andriana Chuchman and Daniela Mack will play Juliet and Romeo in Bellini’s “The Capulets and the Montagues.” James Darrah directs while Christopher Allen conducts. Jesus Garcia stars as Tybalt.

Performance Dates: April 3, 5, 2020
