Spain’s Little Opera de Zamora has announced its 8th season.

Manuel de Falla’s “El retablo de Maese Pedro” will be performed with Mauro Pedrero, Adelaida Galán, and Carlos Fernández. Natalia Zapatero performs on piano and Cristian Santos directs.

Miren Urbieta-Vega and Aquiles Machado lead a gala concert with Alberto Cubero conducting the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León.

Performance Date: August 4, 2023

The festival will present a double bill of Haydn’s “La Canterina” and Bach’s “Cantata del Café. Natalia Labourdette, Anna Cabrera, and Javier Povedano are the soloists, and Rita Cosentino directs.

Igor Escudero’s “The Metaphorisis” will have its world premiere with soloists William Wallace, Paula Mendoza, and Krzysztof Stypulkowski.
