
Lisette Oropesa to Headline Palm Beach Opera’s 2026 Gala
By David SalazarSoprano Lisette Oropesa is set to be the featured performer of Palm Beach Opera‘s 2026 Gala.
The event is set for on March 2, 2026 at The Breakers Palm Beach and features the famed soprano alongside pianist Michael Borowitz.
Oropesa is currently in the midst of a run of “I Puritani” at the Metropolitan Opera, where she will return later this season for performances of “La Traviata.” The New Orleans native is a regular at the Teatro alla Scala, the Royal Opera House, Opéra national de Paris, and the Vienna State Opera. Her recent engagements include performances as “Maria Stuarda” at the Salzburg Festival.
“Lisette Oropesa is one of opera’s most captivating and effervescent stars, and we are thrilled to share her artistry with our Gala patrons,” said Palm Beach Opera’s Andrea & Ken Brodlieb General Director James Barbato, per an official press release. “Her recent recitals at La Scala and Carnegie Hall were both sold-out, and her first appearance in Palm Beach is not to be missed.”
The 2026 Gala will be chaired by Gwendolyn and Austin Fragomen. There will be a cocktail reception preceding the performance and proceeds from the Gala support Palm Beach Opera’s productions, education programs, and artist training initiatives.
