Soprano Lisette Oropesa is set to headline the 2020 Hamlen-Palm Series concert on Monday, March 2, 2020.

The performance, which will take place in an exclusive home in TriBeCa, will produced by and for the benefit of Classical Action, a program of Broadway Care / Equity Fights AIDS. Oropesa and pianist Howard Watkins will perform music of Mozart, Debussy, Fauré, Barber, and Rossini.

“While I adore and feel so fortunate to perform in some of the most legendary opera houses around the world, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with each and every Hamlen-Palm Series audience member in such an intimate space,” Oropesa said in a press statement. “There are few things as gratifying as being able to share my talent to help people in need get medication and healthy meals and support. It’s such an honor and I can’t wait to share this evening with you.”

New York audience members unable to catch Oropesa in this concert will get a chance to see her at the Metropolitan Opera in a revival of Verdi and Piave’s “La Traviata.” She previously took on the title of Massenet’s “Manon,” written by Meilhac and Gille. Oropesa is also set to appear in “Lucia di Lammermoor” at the Bayerische Staatsoper this March.
