By Francisco Salazar

Lisette Oropesa has been named a Guest Faculty Member at BANFF this summer.

The soprano took to social media and said, “Very excited to share that I’ll be a Guest Faculty member this summer, teaching masterclass sessions at the banff centre!! My colleagues who are already a part of this incredible educational program have told me what a privilege it is. Karen Slack and Jason Ferrante are wonderful friends whom I look forward to joining as part of the Chamber Music and Opera: Interplay program this June. Thank you to everyone there for the invitation to work. Young singers who want to apply for the program can do so following the information in the comments below, or through my stories post.”

Oropesa is a leading lyric coloratura who has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Bayerische Staatsoper, Wiener Staatsoper, and Opéra National de Paris.

She is currently in Paris for a production of “Giulio Cesare” and is set to perform in Rome later this season in “La Sonnambula.”
